CLOSE RIVERS

- Arakawa no taki river -

From the house drive on the road 79 on Yonehara's direction. By car it takes about 2 minutes. By foot 15 minutes. You will see on your right side a small parking. Park your car, then walk along the sidewalk to cross the little bridge. You will find a path to walk down. In summer time it's very refreshing.

If you jump with the ropes, be very careful of the rocks.

Parking: free (very narrow)

For safety matters:

- Do not do snorkeling there

- Never drink the water of the river

- River near the tunnel -

From the apartment, it's about 15 minutes away. Drive to the Omoto tunnel direction and cross the tunnel. Driving out of the tunnel, take the first road left. Drive down on about 300 meters, then turn right and continue driving down. You will arrive to a parking.

There is a swing in the middle of the river. You can also walk down the river (from the left side), and after 5 minutes you will find a rope and a waterfall. Be very careful about jumping as there are rocks and the deepness of the waters depend on the seasons and the rainfall.

THE BLUE CAVE - ISHIGAKI ISLAND

- The blue cave - a limestone cave

The blue color of the water changes according to the weather, the seasons, the tides or the lightness. The blue cave is located 5 minutes by car from the house in  Yonehara direction. From the parking space it will take a 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. At low tide you will be able to walk to the cave. At high tide you should swim (sometimes you can directly swim in). After visiting the cave, it's possible to enjoy a great snorkeling starting right from the front of it.

Currents: be careful if it's wavy
